Finishing Ability

Mid-level players often earn the attackable ball and then miss it or hit it straight back to a paddle; finishing means compact, downward shots aimed at feet, hips, or the gap.

Think about this while you play

  • Compact punch, no backswing; use their pace.
  • Hit high balls down: feet, hip, or the middle.
  • On lobs, turn sideways, point at the ball, get under it.
